Faculty Members, At times it becomes necessary to clarify
the procedures or methods of operation that we all use. I would like to clarify and reiterate the
procedure for use of the Media
Center at Fremont High.
- The Media Center exists for students to use
as a research and study facility.
- The Media Center exists for teachers to use
materials and to facilitate and augment their teaching.
- Any
teacher or faculty member, who wishes to take a class into the Media Center, must first schedule, in
advance, this time with the Media Center Specialist, Mr. Jones.
- If a
teacher needs to send “one or a few students” to the media center to use
the facilities for any of the above purposes, they must have a note from
the sending teacher indicating their purpose as it relates to item #1.
- Students
will be served accordingly as long as their behavior is not distracting to
other users or the media center staff.
At which time a student’s behavior becomes distracting, they will
then be asked to go back to the class from whence they came. Students using the media center will not
exceed a regular class size of 36, due to facility limitations.
- All
staff members in this building, from the administration on down are
expected to cooperate with each other and do all that we can to help each
other in attaining the goal of educating the students. This is not to say that we should allow
others to abuse us or our areas of operation, however we should be as
helpful and accommodating to each other as possible.
- Everything
is not ideal in this school or in the school system. Because of this fact it requires all of
us to be flexible and workable with all staff members. As mentioned earlier, this does not mean
we should have no standard order of operations or established procedure. It only means we need to all work
together.
